Gynaecology and Obstetrics Nursing
An
obstetrician-gynaecologist,
or OB-GYN, is an expert in pregnancy and childbirth as well as female
reproductive health. Some OB-GYNs provide a broad range of general medical
treatments, much like your primary care physician. Some concentrate on the
treatment of the female reproductive system.
OB-GYNs
additionally offer basic medical care and testing for illness. Such a physician
has completed coursework in gynaecology and obstetrics.
Obstetrics
and gynaecology are the fields in which the doctor, who is known as an
obstetrician-gynaecologist, specializes. The name "OB-GYN" can also
apply to both fields.

In
this area of medicine, problems with women's breasts are also screened for and

Gynaecology is a broad
field that deals with women's health from adolescence to adulthood. The
majority of your lifetime's reproductive care will be provided by it. You must
see an obstetrician if you become pregnant.

Established
OB-GYNs:
Many initiatives aim to educate credentialed OB-GYNs in addition
to implementing new educational policies for present and future OB-GYN
residents.
For instance, the University of Michigan's OB-GYN school uses
"Continuing Medical Education" to train its OB-GYN healthcare
professionals in the specifics of treating transgender patients. The University
of Michigan's "Improving Care for Transgender & Non-Binary
Individuals" transgender healthcare curriculum was established and
developed by Daphna Strousma, MD, MPH, in collaboration with Michigan Medicine
and the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (CREOG). A
set of video modules covering the following subjects are provided to UM's
OB-GYNs as part of the curriculum:
·
Gender Identity and Treatment of Patients Who
Are Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming
·
Preventive
Care for Patients Who Are Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming
·
Gender-affirming treatment and care for those
in transition
·
Taking Care of Typical Gynaecologic
Problems in Transgender Patients
·
Transgender Medicine: Health Records, Billing,
Insurance, and Legal Documents
